US-based Zachry Nuclear Engineering has acquired a software producer and engineering services provider Numerical Applications (NAI).

NAI provides a engineering analysis services including thermal hydraulic, radiological, chemical and safety solutions, and is a developer of nuclear software such as GOTHIC, CentralStor and RADTRAD-NAI.

Zachry president Mark Mills said NAI's analytical and software development capabilities complement Zachry's analysis, software, design and full EPC nuclear offerings.

As a division of Zachry, NAI will expand Zachry's geographic footprint, with offices from Washington to the Carolinas, while giving NAI access to the broad resources of San Antonio-based engineering, construction and maintenance provider Zachry Holdings.

NAI president Tom George said the synergy of the combined organizations will allow the company to better support its customers, as we embrace the vision, expand the capabilities and employ the resources that Zachry offers.
