MidAmerican Energy establishes new business
US-based energy services provider MidAmerican Energy Holdings has established a new business, MidAmerican Renewables, to support its move into the unregulated renewables market.
The new business will oversee hydro, wind, geothermal and solar power projects in the unregulated renewables market, and will be based in Iowa, US.
MidAmerican Energy chairman, president and CEO Greg Abel said the need for renewable energy will continue to grow and the company looks forward to expanding its wind, geothermal, solar and hydro portfolio.
MidAmerican Renewables will encompass MidAmerican Wind, MidAmerican Geothermal, MidAmerican Solar, MidAmerican Hydro, and project development and commercial management.
