Spencer Ogden Receives The Queen's Award for Enterprise
In April, Spencer Ogden received The Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade; the most prestigious award that any UK business can receive.
Three months later and the official Queen’s Award Ceremony is taking place at Buckingham Palace for all those who were recognised. Spencer Ogden’s CEO, David Spencer-Percival, who will be heading to the ceremony on behalf of Spencer Ogden, said,
“What an honour to receive such a prestigious award. International expansion has been at the heart of our strategy since day one, and in just over four years we have gone from an unknown business to one that has an influence across the globe.”
The Queen’s Award recognises businesses that make a valuable contribution to the UK economy, and Spencer Ogden has gone from a standing start to one with an annual turnover of £50 million, with predicted earnings of £75 million in 2014.
The International Trade category awards those with substantial growth in overseas earnings and commercial success. Spencer-Percival says,
“We have continued to innovate and expand our services in order to adapt to the constantly changing energy sector, which means expanding into new territories wherever and whenever possible.”
Spencer Ogden was launched initially in London and Aberdeen with a team of 12 and now operates across 12 offices worldwide, including in America, Canada, Australia and Singapore with over 350 employees.
