Petrofac awarded $600m Oman gas contract

Petrofac has landed a contract worth close to $600 million to undertake the engineering, procurement and construction of the Salalah LPG extraction project in South Oman. 

The UK multinational oil and gas provider will complete work that includes construction of the liquefied petroleum gas unit and associated facilities, as well as tie-ins to existing pipeline infrastructure. 

The 36-month contract will also see the firm work with LPG storage and jetty facilities at the Port of Salalah.
