Siemens has announced the successful delivery of a power block for a new combined cycle unit in Hong Kong’s Black Point Power Station.

The 550MW plant is expected to supply power to 1 million households, with the project scheduled to begin operations by 2020.

The deal for a Siemens H-class gas turbine is the first ever in Greater China, and brings the total number of SGT-8000H units sold worldwide to 80.
