Saudi Aramco and Saudi Basic Industries Corp have partnered to build a $20 billion facility that will convert oil into chemicals.

Officials have said that the complex will be the largest crude-to-chemicals facility in the world.

Reports have announced that the complex will begin operations in 2025. The facility is expected to produce 400,000 barrels per day of Arabian Light crude oil into 9 million tonnes of chemicals and base oils on a yearly basis.
