Aerospace, defence industry exports set to rise 52% in five years

According to the Aerospace Industries Association, the U.S aerospace and defence industry generated a $90 billion trade surplus in 2016.

According to the report, the industry shipped a record $146 billion of exports, up to 52% over the past five years.

At present, aerospace and defence exports account for 10% of all U.S. exports of goods and generates 1.7 million U.S. jobs and another 1.1 million indirect jobs.
