Boeing clinches $679m US Navy deal to procure 12 combat aircraft

Boeing has secured a $678.6 million contract to provide seven 40 EA-18G Growlers and five F/A-18E Super Hornet fighters for the U.S. Navy.

The contract will also include associated airborne electronic attack kits, which support the Growler’s communication jamming capabilities.

Boeing will utilise fiscal 2016 aircraft procurement (Navy) funds to accomplish this contract. The expected completion date for this deal is early 2019.
