Michigan power plant greenlights $500 million expansion
The project will add two new gas turbines and a steam turbine. The plant currently has 12 gas turbines, two steam turbines and six package boilers that produce steam.
The construction will take about two-and-a-half years and employ close to 700 workers, according to company official, Kelly Moldovan. The expansion is expected to add about 20 jobs to the current 250 jobs at the site in the long term.
