Transport for London have submitted a £3.6bn wishlist of upgrades to the government in an effort to increase funding of Network Rail’s next investment programme.

If the proposal is approved, the funding would cover preparatory work on Crossrail 2 and see £1.2bn invested in London Overground routes.

The London Overground proposals feature a number of platform-lengthening schemes to facilitate the introduction of longer trains, and investigations into the case for Old Oak Common interchange stations at Hythe Road and Old Oak Common Lane.
