The first rail freight service from UK to China has completed its 7,500 mile journey.

Carrying 30 contrainers filled with British produced goods, the train was met by shipping company officials at Yiwu West station.

The rail service is much cheaper than air freight and faster than sea freight, and travelled through various countries including France, Belgium, Germany, Poland, Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan before arriving at Yiwu West station.

For the UK, the train is part of an effort to strengthen trade links with the rest of the world as it prepares to leave the European Union in two years' time.
