Survey names London fifth most expensive city for construction

Research from professional services company, Turner & Townsend has revealed London as the fifth most expensive city for construction in the world. 

According to the survey, London construction costs total to $3,214 per square metre. In contrast,  New York—which topped the chart—came in at $3,807 per square metre. San Francisco were placed second, with construction costs hitting just over $3,549 this year, while Zurich and Hong Kong touched $3,527.87 and $3,487.82 per square metre, respectively.
