Ultra Electronics awarded $10m contract with Ministry of Defence

Defence supplier Ultra Electronics has secured a $10 million contract from the Ministry of Defence to supply new countermeasures for the Royal Navy’s submarines.

The company will use its Ocean Systems business to supply two variants of the Submarine Countermeasure Acoustic Device (SCAD) for the submarine fleet. 

According to reports, the SCAD 101 is a self-contained externally mounted and launched torpedo countermeasure.
