US Navy awards $30m for construction projects at Singapore base

The US Navy has awarded four companies contracts worth $30 million for construction projects at its base in Singapore, according to the Pentagon. 


According to the press release, the contracts will include design and construction on aviation and aircraft facilities, marine facilities, barracks, training and security level facilities and handling of hazardous materials including asbestos and polychlorinated biphenyls.

Work on the project is scheduled to take place over the next five years with an expected completion date of July 2022.
