Samsung Engineering secures $700m contract for new chemicals plant

Saudi Arabia has awarded a $700m contract to build an ethyleme oxide-ethylene glyvol plant to Samsung Engineering. 

The plant is aiming to produce 700,000 million tonnes per annum of mono-ethylene glycol, with construction expected to be completed in 2020.

A Samsung Engineering spokesperson said: "We are eager to provide the finest plant for Saudi Arabia... we will provide the best services possible and looking forward to work with United with many further years to come.”
