This team plays a crucial role in the economic analysis and strategic planning for the clean energy grid of tomorrow, focusing on integrating new resources to ensure cost-effective, reliable solutions.**About the Company:**The organization is forward-thinking, valuing innovation and sustainability. The team has made significant investments in renewable energy sources like solar, wind, and battery storage to benefit their customers.**Position Overview:**In the role of Lead Resource Planning Consultant, the selected candidate will:- Perform Integrated Resource Planning (IRP) generation planning and capacity expansion modeling using production cost software.- Research MISO Resource Adequacy obligations, regulatory IRP requirements, and industry benchmarking.- Analyze data, draw insightful inferences, and present results clearly to stakeholders.- Develop presentation materials to communicate analyses and insights.- Assist in developing business cases, cost-benefit analyses, and risk evaluations for future projects.- Support various ad hoc projects as needed.**Location:**Candidates must be located in the Midwest (Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, and Nebraska). Hybrid work options available to candidates within a commutable distance from Cedar Rapids, IA or Madison, WI. You will understand the market(s) you work in and develop and execute the development strategy.
