This position is responsible for leading tasks associated with the energy engineering of basic performance contracting projects as well as performing tasks and functions associated with the energy engineering of complex projects of unlimited scope and size.PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily.Lead tasks associated with performing preliminary and detailed energy engineering studies of basic and intermediate complexity projects.Participate in performing preliminary and detailed energy engineering studies of complex projects of unlimited scope and size.Perform energy-use baseline analysis, including utility rate simulations and weather normalization.Generate baseline energy models, perform energy savings calculations, and identify any risk associated with the projections.Assist in defining project scope. Ensure savings projections are plausible and financial risk is identified.Prepare technical audit reports.Assist in training & developing of junior engineers on the team May assist in sales presentations. The Manager will also potentially support in project acquisitions, partnerships, and business unit refinement of business strategy. Day to day responsibilities include leading defined regional project development activities, leveraging existing resources for project advancement, and making project/portfolio investment recommendations (in accordance with my client's transaction processes, including drafting internal approvals, etc.).Key Responsibilites:Manage development of large, complex renewable projects, including coordination with internal stakeholders and management of external consultants. These responsibilities include internal coordination on design, economic analysis, permitting, site control, transmission/interconnection etc. Source new development opportunities in the US market. Provide appropriate leadership for development risk analysis, transmission screening, economic analysis etc. Manage relationships with key external stakeholders and partners including utilities, landowners, community stakeholders, etc. Provide support and potentially participate in origination activities associated with your projects, in coordination with the Power Marketing team, including responding to RFPs, quarterbacking financial model inputs, preparing for in-person discussions with offtakers/partners, etc. Support in project acquisition tasks for my client's North America business pipeline, including development of target acquisition list, offer preparation, commercial negotiations, securing internal approvals, leading diligence. Support 3rd party project financing working closely with my client's finance team when projects are ready to proceed to that stage. Prepare management presentations and internal reports on new business opportunities and provide support for investments to senior management and board of directors. Create and maintain project budgets, schedules, and development plans for each project for which you have responsibility. Prepare internal reports on current project opportunities and risks, value proposition, upcoming milestones, recommended investments, etc. Coordinate with Finance Dept. to provide inputs to, and confirm the financial pro forma for each project under your purview.
