Description:Responsible for oversight of substation engineering and consulting services for clients across the US and internationally. Main responsibilities include leading others in creating electrical protection & control and/or physical layout design deliverables. Projects range in size, complexity, and voltage class from small distribution equipment upgrades to large transmission projects. This position can influence the future of the resiliency and reliability of the electric grid. Opportunities to advance into leadership/management roles are available. The Instrument & Controls Designer will be part of the part of the engineering team working on I&C systems design for EPC projects in Oil & Gas industry. This position is to work in a team environment and produce instrumentation & controls design deliverables. As an I&C engineer, work with a team of I&C engineers and designers, and other disciplines, to perform detail engineering, including front-end planning work, develop I&C quantities and cost estimation, conduct conceptual studies, perform technical quality reviews, attend Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), and support construction & commissioning activities . The Distribution Engineer will work on project teams to create world-class designs for new projects, alterations, and redevelopments on various 2.4kV to 34.5kV overhead and underground utility distribution projects. The Distribution Engineer will work with the project team throughout the design and construction process, adapting electrical distribution plans according to budget constraints, design factors, or client needs.
