Description:Responsible for oversight of substation engineering and consulting services for clients across the US and internationally. Main responsibilities include leading others in creating electrical protection & control and/or physical layout design deliverables. Projects range in size, complexity, and voltage class from small distribution equipment upgrades to large transmission projects. The Instrument & Controls Designer will be part of the part of the engineering team working on I&C systems design for EPC projects in Oil & Gas industry. This position is to work in a team environment and produce instrumentation & controls design deliverables. Expert in using 2D AutoCAD and Microstation.Prepare designs and drawings using project specifications and discipline-associated written and verbal instructions in accordance with established design practices, standards, and procedures.Work with I&C team and other disciplines to produce I&C design deliverables. As an I&C engineer, work with a team of I&C engineers and designers, and other disciplines, to perform detail engineering, including front-end planning work, develop I&C quantities and cost estimation, conduct conceptual studies, perform technical quality reviews, attend Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), and support construction & commissioning activities . The Distribution Engineer will work on project teams to create world-class designs for new projects, alterations, and redevelopments on various 2.4kV to 34.5kV overhead and underground utility distribution projects. The Distribution Engineer will work with the project team throughout the design and construction process, adapting electrical distribution plans according to budget constraints, design factors, or client needs.
