Technical Solutions Engineer We have partnered exclusively with a leading global operator specialised in the complete management of solar and wind assets for the generation of electricity.As Technical Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, engineering and optimising utility scale energy storage systemsYour duties will include, but not limited to the following: Preparing electrical equipment specifications, data sheets, and bid evaluations for storage systems, inverters, switchgears, transformers, and other equipment as requiredProviding guidance on design concepts around short circuit protection, conductor sizing, thermal systems, safety systems etc.Participating in site and factory acceptance tests;Liaise with project stakeholders to ensure designs meet expectations;Perform various calculations and analysis to ensure project efficiency;Grid connection analysis and preparation of technical documentation.  Skills and experience required: Bachelor’s degree Electrical Engineering.4 years of experience designing and modelling electric systems (HV & MV).Experience within renewables and/or energy efficiency projects. I am looking for a Portfolio Grid Engineer for one of our clients, the world's largest independent renewable energy company specialising in Wind and Solar.Your responsibilities: Develop, review and enhance the Grid strategy concerning renewable assets managed by UK&I Asset Management Team.Monitor any changes to Grid regulation, policies and ancillary services as they may apply to Support Services client assets. They are backed by a proven Investment Capital partner with a dedication to the Renewable Energy industry.Your responsibilities: Move developed projects into the implementation phase and support until commissioningCollaborate with the design team to optimise the technical designDetermine requirements for resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitationsBuild relationships with external vendors, negotiate contracts, tender services and commission subcontractorsPlan construction operations to ensure deadlines are metCoordinate vendors and subcontractors during the construction phase and control time, costs, quality and work safety standards.Conduct site visits to ensure all quality requirements and compliance guidelines are met. They're taking a fresh look at how power is produced, stored, and used to meet the challenges of climate change. If you are ambitious and want to grow within a company my client will want to hear from you!Role:· Manage all grid-related elements for the entire project from development through to installation and commissioning of assets.· Advise on the relevant legislation and regulations that would impact the project’s grid connection strategy and connection to the onshore network.· Participate in consultations with BEIS, Ofgem, NGESO and other stakeholders in the framework of the on-going work related to the OTNR.· Analyse potential connection options, associated costs, potential impacts on the programme and associated risks.· Manage the relationship with the key players of the interconnection process and lead application calls with NGESO and TOs.· Monitor associated grid costs and charges and input to the financial modelling of the project.· Monitor and manage grid connection risks in relation to changes in the design, consenting, and project programme. Requirements:· Bachelor or master's in electrical engineering or related discipline.· Previous experience at a high level in a similar role.· In-depth knowledge of the offshore wind energy industry and UK transmission system.· Experience of development and execution of large-scale infrastructure projects.· Established relationships with ESO & TO is highly desirable· Willingness to travel on a regular basis, especially within the UK.
