The Advanced Process Control Engineer's primary role is to build and maintain Advanced Process Controllers (APCs), also known as Multivariable Controllers (MVCs). This role requires strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Maintain performance of installed APC applications. Improve stability robustness, economic performance, and Health, Environmental, and Safety performance of APC applications.
- Enhance refinery economics by maintaining knowledge of Product Control Targets, economic drivers, and constraints limiting profitability. Maintain knowledge of future plans for changing operating conditions and equipment modifications.
