Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop specifications, plans, maps, project schedules, and budgets
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and perform Quality Assurance and Quality Control reviews
  • Manage contracts, scope of services, and budgets
  • Coordinate with contractors and stakeholders, and conduct meetings with clients
  • Instruct, mentor and train team members
  • Handle difficult situations and confrontations both internally and externally
  • Demonstrate effective written and oral communication skills

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Respond to RFPs and lead interviews
  • Forecast workload and monitor backlog
  • Manage workgroup financials and quality goals
  • Market to existing or potential clients and obtain work
  • Serve as a project engineer, project manager, or client manager and provide overall project oversight
  • Supervise group members and support staff, including hiring, promoting, terminations, performance reviews, and training
  • Engage in public involvement activities, including creating reports, graphics, presentations, and other visual materials

Qualifications:

  • A four-year degree in engineering or a related field is required
  • A PE is required
  • A minimum of 4+ years of experience is required
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be able to operate motorized vehicles

Preferences:

  • Project management experience is preferred

Work Schedule and Travel:

  • This position requires working 40+ hours per week, with 80% of the time spent in the office and 20% in the field.
