Role: Cost Engineer 

Duration: 6-month contract transferring to permanent staff

Clearance Required: BPSS 


We are seeking an experienced Cost Engineer to join a rapidly growing company on an exciting nuclear project in the North of England. The ideal candidate will be responsible for keeping track and handling of all costs and finances related to the project. The successful candidate will have a strong background in cost engineering, with experience in compensation claims, and a proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Monitor, manage and control all costs and finances related to the project 
  • Prepare and submit compensations claims to the client and suppliers as necessary
  • Analyze and report on project costs and financail status, providing regular updates to project managers 
  • Work closely with the project team to ensure effective cost management throughout the project lifecycle 
  • Provide support and advice to the project team on cost-related matters
  • Develop and implements cost control procedures and processes to ensure effective cost management 

Requirements: 

  • 5+ years experience in cost engineering and within the nuclear sector 
  • Ability to obtain BPSS clearance
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal 
  • Provent track record of managing project costs and finances 
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Contract to Permanent position
