Join our team as an experienced Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Compliance Specialist and help us shape the future of our EHS consulting practice in California. This full-time opportunity offers a chance to work on a variety of challenging projects for a diverse range of clients, including ports, railroads, Department of Defense, and other Federal, public, and private clients. As our EHS Compliance Specialist, you will have the opportunity to focus on technical execution, task/project management, and client development.

What you will do:

  • Leading and executing projects, supporting staffing efforts, and mentoring junior staff
  • Conducting site inspections and sampling, working with facility personnel to complete corrective actions, developing permit applications and plans (SPCC, SWPPP, etc.), regulatory reporting, and conducting regulatory compliance audits and assessments
  • Supporting the development of environmental compliance programs, including Standard Operating Procedures and guidance documents
  • This position will involve a combination of office-based task work, field activities, and travel, with the majority of travel expected to be limited to the West Coast

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • B.S. degree in environmental science or a related discipline, with a master's degree preferred
  • 5-10 years of professional experience and be comfortable working in both an office and field or industrial environment
  • Experience with Federal and California environmental regulatory requirements, conducting environmental compliance inspections, sampling and/or audits, compliance program development (including SOPs, training, guidance, etc.), and Environmental Management System and the ISO 14001 standard.
  • Excellent communication skills are a must, as you will be interfacing with clients and leading meetings.
  • Finally, you must be able to work as part of a team, adhere to schedules and budgets, and demonstrate flexibility and adaptability.
