The purpose of the role is to lead the project management of multiple grid-scale battery construction projects (c.50MW each) from EPC contract signature/final investment approval through to completion, ensuring delivery on time, on budget and within agreed scope. The successful candidate will inherit a pipeline of projects, allowing the opportunity to deliver an increasingly important and rapidly growing new technology.

  • Production of detailed project budget, alongside the business development lead
  • Development, tendering and negotiation of EPC contracts, alongside the business development lead
  • Develop, control and manage the project schedule and ensuring all assigned projects and tasks are completed on time and within budget
  • Manage the relationship with the EPC contractor and with other key stakeholders (DNO, Owner’s Engineer, Landowner, Local Council, Optimiser)
  • Liaise with EPC site manager and project manager, track construction progress, conduct site visits, and prepare progress reports
  • Perform risk assessments and proactively solve any technical or commercial issues identified
