POSITION LOCATION: Milwaukee, Madison, or Burlington, WI

The typical responsibilities of the role include managing existing clients, mentoring staff members, project design and management, and assisting with local business development and marketing efforts. The employee management responsibilities are carried out under the direction of the group manager.

POSITION DUTIES:

 

  • Complete or participate in the design of civil engineering projects, as needed.
  • Provide training and mentoring to engineering design staff.
  • Make frequent client contact within Milwaukee and surrounding counties, respond directly to client requests when appropriate, and forward requests to responsible managers as needed.
  • Attend and participate in marketing efforts, including industry events.
  • Work with the Business Development Manager to prepare project-specific proposals and participate in project interviews.

REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Civil Engineering
  • Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Wisconsin
  • Valid driver's license
  • 12 or more years of experience in designing and project managing municipal and general civil projects
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and proposals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from other managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Excellent technical writing skills
  • Strong written, verbal, computer, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and attend conferences.
