Spencer Ogden is currently looking for experienced Technical Field Advisors (TFA) to support onshore wind projects in APAC.

  • Position: Installation (TFA) or Commissioning (TFA)
  • Scope: Support repair of blade and rotors on onshore wind turbines
  • Location: Onshore, APAC
  • Start date: Jan 2023
  • Duration: 3 - 8 month contract
  • Visa, travel and accommodation, provided and paid.

General Requirements

  • Experience in leading teams.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, autonomy and ability to motivate the team, initiative, and proactive.
  • Ability to work efficiently with team and people.
  • Medium-High level of spoken English.
  • Relevant Onshore GE Turbines experience of 5 years
  • At Least 10 years of general and relevant experience.
  • Technical Degree / Certificate for the processing of VISA.
  • Flexible travel schedule
  • GWO certifications
  • Relevant Manufacturer's training certificates

 

Installation TFA

  • Executes the installation of a technical discipline at the installation site.
  • An Engineer/technician provides technical advice, and guidance and makes recommendations at the Project Site based on manufacturer’s procedures and drawings during the assembly and installation of Wind Turbine Generators.
  • TFA roles and responsibilities are divided by activities. Please note, that this list represents the more important aspects of a successful TFA:
  • The TFA should be present to verify and advise that activities are correctly performed by the contractor.

 

Commissioning TFA

  • Manage the commissioning teams on-site and provide technical support.
  • Coordinate with the ON team on site according to SLA, daily plan, works, and progress of the WTG, ensuring the achievement of the objectives.
  • Report to / and collaborate with the SE department on site.
  • Stock control. Warehouse consumptions and orders management
  • WTGs availability data management.
  • Time control. Monitor the time to carry out each task and procedure. Control of the whole commissioning staff hours.
  • Manage the commissioning weekly report.
  • Management of the Work Orders.
  • Collaborate in compliance with quality, environment, and occupational risk prevention standards, according to the site safety plan. Special assistant to the technicians for achievement.
  • Consult and follow/perform and share, Technical lessons learned periodically.
  • Transfer turbines to SE according to the SLA process.
  • Perform, request, and follow the Cost Orders and report any other quality deviation.
  • Commissioning Check List management. Review, compile and share them.
  • Request support for technical issues to the proper department, following the right processes (Commissioning troubleshooting).
  • Keep the WF share point site up to date.
  • Report to commissioning coordinators including the financial department.
