To lead the commissioning of the GE Plant Controls System (Mark VIe) for Combined Cycle Power Plants (CCPP) and ensure planning, preparation and execution of the commissioning, operation, trial run and acceptance. Essential Responsibilities Prepare and execute the commissioning, trial run, acceptance testing, and inspection/measurements works defined by the Commissioning ManagerParticipate in site meetings by arrangement with the Commissioning ManagerUtilize all available tools and aids to achieve the goals of his/her assignment and, as well, to strive for continuous product improvements and cost reductionPrepare, manage, perform, coordinate, and monitor the commissioning of the specified systems in a safe and timely mannerPerform commissioning as per specifications, engineering documents considering the safety instructions, environmental protection measures and local regulationsOrganize and supervise the safe operation of the plant (site rules, safety regulations, shift plan, shift log, etc.) from system turnover from Installation until COD by arrangement with the Commissioning ManagerFacilitate the turnover of systems from Installation to commissioning and from commissioning to the customer in accordance with current procedure/work instruction by arrangement with the Commissioning ManagerWork off the open item lists of systems under his/her responsibility by arrangement with the Commissioning Manager Qualifications/Requirements More than 10 years of experience in commissioning and strong knowledge of the GE Mark VIe Controls System and process of Combined Cycle Power Plants (CCPP) including strong knowledge of PID loop tuning.Strong Knowledge of communication protocols: Modbus, Foundation Fieldbus and ProfibusStrong analytic and problem-solving capability.Willing to travel worldwide for long term assignmentsFluent in spoken and written English
Key ResponsibilitiesThe key responsibilities include the following: Planning of outages on the main Combined Cycle Gas Turbine plant and Open Cycle Gas Turbine plant and other major items of plant.Development of contingency plans associated with the aboveReview of contracts, programmes, project and commercial documentation associated with outagesProgress and reporting on all planned and unplanned outagesEnsuring plans meet safety, environmental, technical, and commercial targetsCo-ordination of day-to-day maintenance planning activities.Managing site specific projects that have defined time or functional start and end criteria. Desirable Working experience in the use, development and management of planning software and computerised maintenance management systems would be an advantage. As an I&C engineer, work with a team of I&C engineers and designers, and other disciplines, to perform detail engineering, including front-end planning work, develop I&C quantities and cost estimation, conduct conceptual studies, perform technical quality reviews, attend Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), and support construction & commissioning activities . Work under a direct supervision of an I&C lead or work independently on smaller projects or standalone activities.
