Job Description:This is an exciting opportunity to work with a growing renewables team based in the Northeast. They are actively seeking out a BESS engineering expert to take a lead role in the development of their projects. Responsibilities: Lead the design and implementation of renewable generation control system applications for North American projects. Design, implement, and test various components of the renewable generation control system, including overall power plant control for PV Solar and BESS sites based on established PSSE models and ISO/RTO requirements. Develop applications for BESS energy management system. Coordinate asset generation between PV Solar and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). Design SCADA systems for BESS and PV Solar, ensuring effective communication through industry standard protocols (Modbus, DNP3, etc.). Provide technical support across departments for new project pursuits and product development. Mentor and guide less experienced engineers in renewable control system application design and commissioning. Create and maintain engineering plans and schedules. Support customer Factory Acceptance Test and participate in site commissioning and Site Acceptance Test activities. Identify opportunities for product and process improvements and provide valuable suggestions. Manage time effectively to meet project schedule and commitments. Cultivate and nurture customer relationships. Monitor and track project financial performance. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
