Senior Radiography Coordinator

The Senior Radiography Coordinator ensures the smooth running of the onsite functioning of the Radiography Support Team's or third-party radiography resource and any other NNB Radiography coordination resource. The requirements for radiography will be identified within the contractor's workscope by Engineering standards both EDF and international. Contractors shall justify and agree the NDT technique and amount of on-site NDT, then request Radiography through the Senior Rradiography Coordinator. The Senior Radiography Coordinator will check the adequacy of planning and preparations and will de-clash the operation between Tier 1 Contractors considering the areas concerned, shift patterns and clearing of areas of personnel prior to radiography taking place in accordance with the HSE guidelines and Company Standards. They will ensure work is adequately planned, coordinated, prepared, and risks managed for the work to proceed safely, to time and quality by the Contractor.
The Senior Radiography Coordinator will take an overview of radiography performance in delivering the Construction Plan for radiography across HPC site and have a broad understanding of all the radiography work being undertaken. Ensuring potential clashes are avoided and optimising the strategy so that all radiography is delivered safely and with the required quality. The Senior Radiography Coordinator will request forward plans of work and anticipate future risk and issues and be proactive in managing them. They will also need to play a pro-active role in the broader HPC Delivery team.

Job Purpose / OverviewThis role sits at the heart of the Civil Works Programme (CWP), which sponsors the £7bn+ Civil Works Alliance (CWA). SZC will be the first new nuclear project delivered using the Regulated Asset Base (RAB) model, with the UK Government and investors as key stakeholders and shareholders, the delivery of wider benefits (or social value) as part of project delivery is a key focus for the project and the CWP will be a key focus.Working in a dynamic, fast-paced, supportive, inclusive and high-performing team, the postholder will play a critical role in ensuring that the Civil Works Programme is able to monitor and evaluate its performance against its ESG KPIs and is able to articulate these in the best possible way to our stakeholders, both in writing and face-to-face.Principal AccountabilitiesThe role holder will be working with the broader Benefits team to support the development, maintenance and implementation of the benefits management approach, framework and processes to ensure non-financial benefits are being delivered and in line with forecast. Working in one of the Project Controls Teams within the HPC Project, under the direction and leadership of the PCM Lead, to lead the development, implementation, use and maintenance of Integrated Project Controls processes within the Transverse Programme or Area, or a subdivision thereof (henceforth "Programme"). This will include oversight of day-to-day management, staffing, and the implementation of Integrated Project Controls standards and processes.To be responsible for the direction and co-ordination of all Integrated Project Controls activities associated with the design, manufacture, construction and commissioning of the Programme work scope within safety, quality, time and cost milestones. Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, ExperienceKnowledge & Skills• Knowledge of all Integrated Project Controls Disciplines• Understanding of Project Controls methodologies, techniques and processes for programme and project management in a major infrastructure environment• Understanding of various contract types, in particular the NEC suite and FIDIC;• Technical and practical comprehension of engineering, procurement, manufacture and construction methods and techniques in a UK context;• Strong people management skills and experience of motivating teams through several organisational levels.• Excellent written and verbal communication and influencing skills, at all working and management levels;• Demonstrated ability to understand, interpret, analyse and present complex data from an Integrated Project Controls perspective;• Uses and applies Earned Value Management (EVM) in a large, complex Programme or Project environment. We are looking for Project Managers to join our Main Civil Works Programme of the HPC Project. The Main Civil Works project will deliver the Civil Engineering scope for nearly 70 buildings across the site and is the single largest contract at HPC.As a Project Manager you will provide leadership to ensure the effective delivery of activities in the programme to time, cost, safety, and quality, while recognising and managing the impacts of the programme on the wider ProjectWhat you’ll be doing…As a Project Manager, you will: Define the work scope to be delivered within the contract and the interfaces to the other elements of the programme.Assist in securing the required resources to meet their project requirements, promptly identifying any personnel shortfalls or issues within their project team.Develop and implement strategies and plans in line with the overall programme execution plan (PEP), setting out how the programme of work will be managed, organised, and executed.Maintain effective communications with all stakeholders and executing the project or PEP strategies within their contract or package of work.Drive the delivery of the contract or package activities to ensure they are delivered safely on time, to budget, meeting business & technical requirements.Monitor and manage the progress of the programme - track progress against milestones, deadlines, budget and provide key stakeholders with reports on these matters.Anticipate, manage, and resolve issues within the contract or package.
