Job Overview:

 

As the TP141 Authorised Commissioning Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the successful commissioning of the substation at DRAX Power Station. You will be responsible for overseeing and managing the commissioning process in alignment with the TP141 regulations, ensuring the safe and efficient integration of the substation into the power generation infrastructure. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coordinate, and execute the commissioning activities for the substation at DRAX Power Station.
  • Ensure compliance with TP141 regulations and safety standards throughout the commissioning process.
  • Develop detailed commissioning plans, schedules, and procedures, outlining the necessary steps for successful integration.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, construction, and operations, to ensure a smooth handover from construction to commissioning phase.
  • Manage and supervise a team of commissioning engineers and technicians, providing guidance and support to achieve project goals.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to address potential challenges during commissioning.
  • Oversee testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of substation equipment to ensure functionality and reliability.
  • Document all commissioning activities, results, and deviations, maintaining accurate records for future reference.
  • Communicate progress, challenges, and recommendations to project stakeholders and management.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • TP141 Authorised Person certification is mandatory.
  • Extensive experience in commissioning high-voltage substations within the power generation industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of TP141 regulations and safety protocols.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills to convey technical information to various stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of successful commissioning projects on time and within budget.
  • Familiarity with power generation processes and equipment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing project demands and priorities.
