The University of Cork has revealed a €241 million infrastructure development plan that is expected to create close to 500 construction jobs.
The university said it has signed a €100 million loan agreement with the European Investment Bank (EIB) to support the project.
The project will provide student accommodation, medical research, hospital facilities, a science park, and a clinical medical school.
“This is the largest investment in capital projects at UCC in our history,” said UCC president Dr Michael Murphy.
