A new pay deal plan has been agreed for 400,000 construction workers in the UK. Wage rates will increase by 2.5% from July and an additional 2.75% in June 2017.
Unions GMB, Ucatt and Unite reached the Construction Industry Joint Council (CIJC) agreement, which starts on 25 July, with a various other builder federations.
"This deal ensures that workers will enjoy above inflation increases for the next two years,” Brian Rye, acting general secretary of Ucatt.
