Parkmead Group, the Aberdeen oil and gas explorer, has announced a new discovery. The new gas field is situated in the Netherlands, and is expected to feed into existing production infrastructure in the area.
The Diever-2 exploration well reached a depth of 7,457 feet and the gas discovered was in a good quality sandstone reservoir.
Parkmead has also announced that they have begun a site survey at its Skerryvore offshore oil prospect in the North Sea in advance of planned drilling in 2015. The company hopes both sites will add major value to the company that went from owning no oil and gas assets in 2011.
