Development of the Able Marine Energy Park in North Lincolnshire has been given the green light by the UK Government.
The Able Marine Energy Park will be a purpose built facility for the manufacture, assembly and installation of offshore renewable technologies on the south bank of the Humber in North Lincolnshire.
AMEP will offer 1,289m of new heavy-duty deepwater quays and 906 acres of developable land.
It has been designed specifically for the marine renewables sector to provide a multi-user facility for the manufacture, storage, assembly and deployment of next-generation offshore wind turbines and their associated supply chains.
Construction is set to start in early 2014 with the facility expected to be available from late 2016.
