Norway’s Aker Solutions has announced that a country-wide slowdown of the offshore maintenance and modifications market has meant finding roles for more than 200 employees.
Aker is offering a number of employees the opportunities to transfer to Aker Advantage which seeks jobs for these employees, either internally or externally.
The company is proactively acting to ease the overcapacity that has occurred in its Norwegian Maintenance, Modifications and Operations business. The issue has arisen from the lower demand as oil companies reduce spending.
100 MMO engineers will be moved to a subsea hub in Stavanger.
