Algeria on target to boost gas output in 2017

Algeria is on track to boost its gas output, announcing it will add more than 9 billion cubic metres in 2017. 

As the third largest gas supplier to the European Union, Algeria has established a strong project pipeline for 2017. These projects include Touat Gas set for February 2017 with an estimated output of 12.8 million cubic meters per day, Timimoun in March 2017 with 4.8 million cubic metres per day, and Reggane which is set to provide 8 million cubic metres per day in June. 

According to a Sonatrach document, gas output is expected to reach 141.3 Bcm in 2017, 143.9 Bcm in 2018 and 150 Bcm in 2019. Furthermore, Algeria is aiming Bcm in 2016 to Europe which is a 15% increase from 2015.
