Alstom maintenance deal will create rail jobs

08 Jun 2016

Alstom has secured a £30.1 million maintenance contract with TransPennine Express – the intercity rail operator for the North of England and Scotland.

Alstom will maintain two fleets of 25 brand new five-car trains and plans to create numerous new permanent positions across its three site to fulfil the project’s needs.

“Alstom is a world expert in maintenance, able to service non-Alstom fleets, as for this order,” said Alstom UK and Ireland acting managing director, Henrik Anderberg.
“With 12 train care centres and over 3,000 highly-skilled employees based in Britain, we are well-placed to deliver.”
