Amazon to create 2,000 new jobs at Boston Technology Hub

17 May 2018
Amazon.com Inc. has announced it will be hiring an additional 2,000 people in Boston, to further grow its existing technology hub that focuses on a range of disciplines such as machine learning to cloud computing and robotics.

Last year, the online retail giant confirmed its plans to hire over 100,000 workers, from entry-level through to engineers and software developer positions over an 18-month period.

“In just a few years, we’ve grown from a handful of software developers and scientists to a team of more than 1,200, inventing new capabilities and products on behalf of millions of customers around the world,” said Rohit Prasad, Amazon’s Boston area-based vice president and head scientist of Amazon Alexa.
