Australian firm looks to boost gold mining output

29 Jan 2016

Australia's second biggest gold miner, Evolution Mining has recorded a full year of strong production output. The company expects to produce between 770,000 and 820,000 ounces of gold in 2015/16 which is 5 per cent higher than its previous guidance of 730,000 to 810,000 ounces.

“We are making very healthy cash margins on all our assets," said Evolution Mining’s chairman, Jake Klein.
"I see the trend continuing given our strong cash generation and the falling Australian dollar."

Evolution plans to utilise the cash generated to continue focusing on reducing its debt levels and improving operations.
