Australian Government to create 5000 new jobs in mining sector

14 Nov 2014
The South Australian government has announced plans to create 5,000 new jobs in the mining sector by 2017.

This comes after a record resource production of $7.5 billion this year, up by $1.3 from the previous financial year.

The success in the sector can be attributed to an increase of iron ore and petroleum production and the continued steady production of copper.

The government aims to increase the value of mineral and energy resources production to $10 billion per year by 2017, thus growing the sector and creating the addition 5,000 jobs.
