Baker Hughes Incorporated (NYSE:BHI) announced today that the international rig count for November 2011 was 1,185, down 12 from the 1,197 counted in October 2011, and up 55 from the 1,130 counted in November 2010. The international offshore rig count for November 2011 was 302, down 10 from the 312 counted in October 2011 and down 18 from the 320 counted in November 2010.

The US rig count for November 2011 was 2,011, down 6 from the 2,017 counted in October 2011 and up 328 from the 1,683 counted in November 2010. The Canadian rig count for November 2011 was 487, down 21 from the 508 counted in October 2011 and up 67 from the 420 counted in November 2010.
The worldwide rig count for November 2011 was 3,683 down 39 from the 3,722 counted in October 2011 and up 450 from the 3,233 counted in November 2010.

Baker Hughes initiated the monthly international rig count in 1975.
North American rig count data is scheduled to be released at noon central time on the last working day of each week.
