Bharat Heavy Electricals has signed a memorandum of understanding with the government of Tajikistan to set up a 100MW hydroelectric plant in the country.
The company will construct the project on the Zeravshan River and help the country explore the full potential of its hydro resources.
In other operational updates, the company is currently carrying out the renovation, modernization and uprating of the Varzob-1 Hydro Power Project.
It has also commissioned a hydro generator for Pamir-1 project in Khorog, Tajikistan.
