The U.S Air Force has awarded Boeing a $2.8 billion contract to supply KC-46 aircraft, spare parts and wing refuelling pod kits.
The contract is for the first two LRIP production lots of seven and 12 planes, including 179 of the 767-based airborne tankers for the Air Force to replace older KC-135 fleet.
In addition to this, the company has also won a $254 million contract for the purchase of F-15 C/E full-scale fatigue test services. The contract will include a one-year base with four one-year ordering periods. Work is expected to be completed by 2021.
