Britain places 4th in global renewable energy markets
03 Sep 2013
Britain has overtaken Australia to claim fourth place behind The USA, China and Germany, in the world’s most attractive renewable energy markets. This comes after Britain released further details on how it will reward green energy generation in the future.
A global drive to cut greenhouse gas emissions through more use of green energy sources has spurred investment in renewable energy over the past decade and the quarterly rankings track this investment in 40 world markets.
The ranking comes from Ernst & Young and in their technology specific ranking, Britain scored highest for offshore wind and ranked second for biomass after Germany.
