Britain's first floating solar panel built in Berkshire

29 Sep 2014
Britain’s first floating solar panel project has been built on a reservoir in Berkshire, as part of a new scheme for solar technology across the country.

The 800 panel green energy project has been developed by French firm, Ciel et Terre, and the technology is already being used at larger scale projects in Japan.

The project has a 200kw capacity and spans one acre, but the success of the solar panels has demonstrated their feasibility and the size of the project could be increased significantly over the coming months.
