The Conergy Group has completed a 5MW solar photovoltaic power plant in Hawton near Newark on Trent in Nottinghamshire, UK.
The free-field solar park was built in cooperation with the company's local partner Lark Energy and covers a total area of 14.6 hectares.
The facility, which comprises 21,600 Conergy PowerPlus modules, received planning consent on 24 May 2011.
The solar modules are expected to combinedly generate 4,860MWh of clean electricity annually, enough to supply about 1,300 homes.
Germany-based Conergy develops and manufactures solar modules and mounting systems, as well as develops, builds and manages solar systems across the globe.
