Construction starts at $707m Six Flags theme park

Dubai Parks and Resorts (DPR) has begun work on constructing its Six Flags theme park in Saudi Arabia. 

The $707 million attraction is expected to launch as the fourth attraction under DPR’s banner, and scheduled to open in 2019. 

“This is the fourth theme park at our destination and it will help us strengthen the appeal of Dubai Parks and Resorts as a must-visit destination in the region," said Raed Kajoor Al Nuaimi, chief executive. 

The launch of Six Flags in Saudi Arabia plays an intregal part of the region’s Vision 2030 plans.
