Dow Chemical Co. has announced its five-year plan to invest $4 billion into its U.S. based plastics, silicones, urethanes and petrochemicals operations.
Dow are expected to extend the company's U.S. growth investments to more than $12 billion over a 10-year period and create thousands of jobs, according to company officials.
The projects are expected to employ approximately 5,500 workers at peak activity and create 300 permanent jobs. The bulk of those jobs will be created in the United States, with approximately 3,500 construction jobs and 200 full-time technical, vocational and professional careers, stated the company’s press release.
