Dubai authorities approve Desert Rose City project

Dubai Municipality has approved a smart and sustainable project called Desert Rose City worth $8.1 billion.

The development will spread across 14,000 hectares and house 160,000 residents. The city will include clusters shaped like desert flowers and also produce 200 megawatts of electricity through solar panels on the rooftops of buildings and homes.

The first phase of the project is scheduled for completion by 2020, according to reports.
