Enel Green Power has begun operations at the 18MW Padul wind farm and connected it to the grid in Andalusia, Spain.
The wind project located in Granada consists of nine units of 2MW generating capacity turbines to produce 37 million kWh every year which displaces 28,000 tons of carbon dioxide.
Enel Green Power CEO Francesco Starace said the company is installing plants as per its business plan.
"Padul is one of the last plants scheduled," Starace added.
"We are on track with the timeline for the installation of the remaining plants and pleased with the progress."
The 18MW Padul wind farm has increased Enel Green Power's 219MW capacity of renewable energy in Andalusia.
